HISTORY OF THE TOY: Mostly found in the Amazon rainforest, the tree frog is diurnal and measures between 2.5 and 6 cm (1-2.5 in) in length. The frog's skin secretes an alkaloid that can paralyze and even kill predators. The main threats to the tree frog are fires, clearing and exploitation of tropical forests: its habitat. Deforestation dries out the land and makes it warmer, leaving no habitat or food for this species.
